how hot is too hot for a hard drive?
my maxtor hard drive has a temp sensor in it and MBM5 is reading 41C atm, the highest ive seen it is 46C
when is it too hot?

Well I just turned on my computer and my Maxtor
is running at 29C...but if I leave it on for a full day or two it becomes 40C-45C like yours, if you are worried get a HDD cooler, or maybe you had your comp on too long and it needs a shutdown? 🙂

Oh well now it became 40C. See, you dont have to worry 😛 and my program that detects temperatures says thats low. But i will probably get a HDD cooler anyways.

i havent had my computer on for that long (like 4 hrs)
sometimes it takes MBM a cpl mins to get up to that
right when i boot its usually around 30C
