Hard drive swapping: question

3 hard drives: 500GB, 30GB, and 120 GB

I want the 30 gig HD to be replaced by the 120GB hdd. In this current Windows install (30gb hdd) I have my storage drive showing up both in disk management and Windows Explorer.

I removed the 30gig drive and put the 120 gig and installed Windows and the subsequent updates. However, when I boot into Windows, the 500 gig drive shows up as 120 GB and tells me the drive is not formatted when I try and browse it. I took the Windows drive out and put the old 30 gig drive in and it boots fine and shows the 500 gig storage in Windows Explorer and in disk management. It shows it as a healthy NTFS drive within the 30 gig Windows install, but shows it as RAW when within the new 120 GB Windows install.

Any ideas on why this may be happening?

Thanks :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I may have mistakenly thought that SP2 was installed during the updates I installed right after the first bootup. I'll check again right now.
