I could use some advice regarding swapping a hard drive from computer to computer. Recently, I took a hard drive with data only, from one computer at work and connected it with my computer at home. Both systems run Window 2000 Pro and have almost identical setups. After connecting the hard drive to my computer at home, Windows recognizes the drive but under ?Disk Management? it shows that the data is unrecognized or unallocated and that the drive needs to be formatted. The drive is hooked up as a master on a separate channel on both computers. Any hints as to what might be going on here?!?!
