Hard drive swap for new system?

I'm getting a new system tommorrow.

All the parts will be identical, except for the mobo. Both via, but one is DDR, the other is SDR.

I'd HATE to have to have to set up two systems and network between two drives.

Can I just pop the old drive in the new system, considering its similarities?

Sure you can, but don't expect it to be trouble free .
