Hard Drive suggestion

I am looking for a 200 gig external hard drive for my notebook that can run on usb 2.0.

I know maxter and seagate are some good potentioals, but I am a novice with the externals.

any suggestions? what are some critiria I should look for?

I know some people that take a ide hd and make an external case for it, but would this work for a notebook or do I have do try this with a notebook harddrive?

any feedback would be great.

well i went the cheap route and just bought a reagular hard drive and bought one of those external cases for like $15. works fine for me and gets usb2.0 and firewire but they are not as stable so make sure you find a way to make sure it doesnt move around a lot
