Hi, I purchased a SATA harddrive and was sent an IDE HD, I decided to use it until the right one came in, It has 220 gigs of data on it that I would like to transfer over. The problem is when I switch the HD from the SATA slot to the IDE port it isn't detected in windows, disk manager says status unreadable. The drive is only detected in windows when its using an IDE->SATA adapter. I only have a single SATA cable otherwise I would just plug them both in and transfer. Does anyone know how to correct this problem so my Harddrive will be detected on an IDE port?
