I just bought a WD 20.5Gb ATA-66 7200RPM drive. Have got it installed as a slave to my Maxtor 15Gb drive. W2K Pro is recognising WD drive as 8.4 Gb but the Maxtor is fine.

When I boot the box the bios sees 20.5 Gb on my slave. Have WD and they have no clue what's going on. Their website isn't updated for W2K yet even though it's been out for nearly a year now. I have SP1 installed, the latest drivers for Via 4-in-1 and have a Soyo 6VBA-133 Mobo. Any ideas how to get W2k to report the correct size?

How did you partition the new drive? In Win2K? If not, delete all the partitions via Win2K and try again.

I screwed up and mis-read the pin configuration for the hard drive. It works great now but I feel like a dumb-ass!
