If you build a new computer, can you take a new hd and make it the master then take your old one that has WinXp on it and make it a slave and install it and move the files you need to the new one/

sometimes you can run into problems when trying to boot with 2 os's installed like that. i think that if you just remove some of the key files it should work just fine......

Yeah, I've tried that, without any problems. As long as in the BIOS you specify which drive to boot from, I don't think there should be problems.

I've done it many times without trouble.

I used to do it at work to create image files in ghost. Sometimes it would take longer to boot than normal, don't know why, but it always worked anyhow.
