Hard Drive Setup Stupid

I have the Aspire X-Alien case, and is it just me, or is the hard drive setup on it very stupid? They face perpindicular to the motherboard, rather than parralel! the IDE cables always push up against the windows and look stupid, any ideas?

Same setup as in my thread. Basically, reverse your HDDs and the cables will be facing the other side. Thus, no cables showing

ive tried that and with round cables, the dual device cables bunch up and pop out against the back wall, i have not been able to get it to work, do you have pics?

i dont have pix sorry. But, in my case, i have 1 SATA and 1 PATA.

For your case, separate your HDDs by as far has your IDE cable will allow for master/slave operation. With this separation, it shouldnt "pop" out as much. I am thinking at a HDD in slot 1 and the other in slot 3 should work well. You might be able to separate your HDDs by 2 slots.

n.m i figured it out, i just cant have them right on top of eachother, and flat cables would look silly cause my case is completely UV

With the sidesaddle drives arrangement, you can fold and dress flat cables so they can barely be seen.

I love the case.

But then again all 3 of my HD are SATA-cabled and not round eide.

eh, i got it to work, but if i ever feel the need for more HDs i hae no idea what i am going to do.

Maybe a 5.25" bay with fan... Its a tough juggle once you surpass 2 or 3 HDD
