I can't seem to get my Serillel adapter to work. I have a WD 80 gig SATA drive running as my primary drive. My secondary drive is a WD 80 gig SE IDE drive. It works fine when I connect it with the IDE cable, but my system doesn't seem to recognize it when I use the Serillel adapter. Any thoughts? I have an Abit NF7-S V2.0 MB with Serillel version 1 adapter, Win XP Pro, and updated MB chipset drivers.

Also, what are the best settings for my drives, i.e. primary, secondary, master, slave. Should all SATA drives be jumpered master? If I can't get my 2nd hard drive to work with SATA, should it be primary master? I will have two hard drives - 1 SATA, 1 IDE (maybe SATA w/ adapter), 1 DVD burner, and 1 DVD/CD combo drive.

We're all on solid state.

Seriously though, both your drives need to be set to their default jumper positions to work w/ SATA.
