Well, I'm sure like myself, most of you tend to partition your drives and put the OS on a separate drive to data files as its easier to upgrade/install new OSes later. I read somewhere (can't remember where) that adding multiple partitions to a hard drive creates a chance that the partition table might get corrupted which would result in complete data loss on the entire drive. Was just wondering if any of you had that happen before??

There's a partition table and boot record on the drive even if you only have one partition. And yes, if either of those get corrupted you won't be able to access the drive (although you can recover these, generally, with the right software). It does happen, though not all that frequently.
