Hard drive question

I picked up what someone told me was the hard drive out of an X-Box. I hooked it up to my PC and it's recognized but I can't fdisk or format it. It appears to be an ordinary Seagate ST310211A 10gbs drive.

Is there something preventing me from using this "X-Box" drive on my PC or is it simply a bad drive?
