So i have this hard drive thats been acting up. it makes clicking noises, and jumper settings dont follow quite right, meaning i cant get it to be master/slave sometimes. The smart reading on the utility, speed fan says it has 264 reallocated sectors, which i assume are bad sectors. and the wd diagnostic says it has 183. i think on speed fan report, it recommened i get a new hd, but it also said that a hd usually has 256-1000 spare sectors to repair?... well my main question is will it repair itself.? right now im hoping it last till summer, so i can buy another.

If a drive starts showing new bad sectors after it leaves the factory, RMA it.

Just don't put anything remotely important on it in the meantime.
