Hard drive problems with new system, vista related?

Ok, so today I finally got all of the parts I needed to build my first system. The setup took a while, but most of it was pretty easy. I set up windows 32 vista and all the drivers that I needed, and everything works great. The only issue I'm having is I can only seem to use one of my hard drives(250G Western Digital OEM), but I do see the second in the hardware menu, and it doesn't have many options.
Now I'm no master IT guy, but I do know most parts of a computer system. Problem is I've been building this thing all day and I'm exhausted. The answer is probably right in front of me but I can't seem to put my mind on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, by the way, the second HD also shows up in the BIOS menu and they seem to both be set to auto.
-I used 1 HD to install vista so it can easily find the C directory without many problems, then I put in the second one after the first set of drivers.

Thank you.

It may not be partitioned. It may only see it physically.

hopefully it is the same as in xp

go to "control panel / administrative tools / computer managment" then under "storage" go to "disk management"

You should be able to see the physical disk. You can now partition and format as needed.

Thanks for the reply. Yea that's what I've been doing, but I forgot to log onto admin in order to format the disk.

Thanks again.
