Hard Drive problems - please help......

Greetings from Ireland.

I have just made a gift of my old machine to the local pastor and he has been away for 2 weeks and just switched on to be greeted by a screen (after memory check)of "Hard Disk(s) failed (20)"

The machine has been in a room with the heating off for 2 weeks and I was wondering (praying !) that this could somehow be the problem ?

64mb ram
2x1gb HDD's
basic sound & video
6xspeed CDRom

It's very possible that the ide cable came loose at one end or the other when you moved the system to your pastor's place. Open the case and have a look. Make sure the cables are tight.

Thanks Dan,He is bringing it over tomorrow.
It's just that it was working at his place and then when he got back it went phutt!
Here's hoping it's as basic as a cable !
