Hard Drive Problem

I was gaming the other day when all of a sudden everything stopped responding (keyboard, mouse, etc). About 5-6 sec later I hear a semi-loud CLICK from inside my case, and everything goes back to normal for a couple min., then it happens again.

Upon further inspection, I found the cuprit to be my 500GB (250 x 2) RAID array.

I have a RocketRAID133 PCI card which i have plugged into 2 250GB WD drives which I bough less than a year ago.

I took my tower out of the cranny its stuffed into and laid it horizontally (sideways) on the floor, unplugged my card, drives and re-plugged everything in, the problems seemed to stopped, so when I put my case back in its nook (between my desk and my couch, very tight space), it started again. Could this be due to heat? Any suggestions.

Since the only change is the placement of the machine yes, heat could very well be the problem. My suggestion is to never put a machine inside of the cabinets that desk makers put in for computers. They kill airflow and make a mini oven. I know it doesnt look as good, but it will kepp your pc happy
