Hard drive problem with K7S5A.

My K7S5A system is having a bit of trouble detecting my hard drives. They're both Maxtor. Here's my setup:

K7S5A
256mb of SDRAM
GeForce 2 Ultra
20gb Maxtor
6GB Maxtor
SCSI CD-RW drive (tried an old 2x but it wouldnt boot with it in)
SCSI PCI card for the CD-RW
Floppy drive

I've tried setting the HD's for both cable select and master but no go. It doesnt even show that it doesnt detect it. But in the BIOS it said its not there. Please help.

Make sure you dont have the IDE cable plugged in backwards. Also make sure that you have power plugged into the drives.

The cables are plugged in fine, I even tried different a cable. Also I only tried 1 drive at a time in that system. When it wasnt upgraded the 6gb was working fine with an old old motherboard.
