I have a hard drive where the power intermittently cuts out and makes the system BSOD. I determined that the power plug is loose, if I push up on the power connector, the drive gets power, and if I push slightly down, the drive does not get power. I am fairly positive that the connector itself is not loose in the socket, but it is most likely the socket on the circuit board that is somehow loose. If I look at the drive flat, the circuit board seems to bend down slightly at the power connector, and when pushed up, it straightens up.
Anything I can do to fix this reliably? I already have a replacement drive on the way, but I hate to just throw away an otherwise good drive. I haven't checked warranty, as that would be the obvious solution, but I am 99% sure its out of warranty.
