Hard Drive passwords on laptop. Any way to clear.

Just bought a couple of laptop hard drives and found that they had passwords on them. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that new of an easy way to either find out what the passwords were or to clear them? Any help would be much appreciated.

If you just bought them, format them. You don't know what could be on them.
