Guys,
we got a few dell systems (yeah those ones... the ones I cribbed about, the ones with RAMBUS).

Anyway, dell left a 18GB partition for C Drive as the system, and then two other SCSI drives for data.

However what I want to know is if its possible to partition the 18GB drive into a few parts without disturbing the OS and the Dell stuff already installed. I want to make like 3 partitions for the 18GB system drive.

If it is FAT32 you can use PartitionMagic from DOS. I don't know about NTFS but I would guess so since the latest PM501 was supposed to be for W2K. Check with PQ for sure. One thing that comes to mind is that Dell might have a hidden restore image on the disk so look into that.

I must have been asleep when I wrote my original message. :) I could have sworn he mentioned that there were 2 18GB drives and he wanted to repartition the second one. My error!

With Admin privileges, run Computer Management->Disk Management and partition away. Just don't touch the partition with the OS. :)

Der, SUOrangeman, I took it to mean the OS (system) is on the partition. I am not familiar with this "built in partitioning" you speak of... :p
