Hi, I would like to apologize ahead of time for being so vague but I am not sure myself what I'm talking about. Anywho, here goes:

My friend told me that it is actually better in some cases to have smaller partitions so that the cluster sizes will be smaller and so you can fit more things on your hard drive or for optimal performance or whatever (I don't know). So my question is...how should I divide up my hard drive?

It's 160GB and if this helps I will have my entertainment apps (games, etc.), practical apps (antivirus, Premiere, Photoshop, etc.), media files (tons of music, maybe some movies), and of course the OS on it. I think for organization purposes having 2 partitions would be nice because then I'll have one for apps and one for storage but I don't know if this would maximize performance or whatever. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if it will help performance, but it will certainly be useful to have your data and OS on separate partitions in case you ever decide to reinstall or upgrade your OS.
