hard drive out of warranty through web page lookup.... maybe better luck if i call???

I have a Maxtor 160 gig HDD that is dead... their website says my warranty expired like a month ago. Do you think I'll have better luck if I call them? I no longer have the receipt for the hard drive though.

You can try, but their warranty starts from the date is made if remember the other threads that have been posted here.

Without a receipt, you would be SOL.
