I'm having a little problem...

I have two extra hard drives with my pictures, my music, and all that stuff. I disconnected them from my computer for a bit because i had to hook up my DVD drive. When they were disconnected, I wanted to change the drive letter of the DVD drive...I right clicked on My Computer, went to Manage, and then I guess I thought it would be easier to change the drive letter if I just deleted the two hard drives that weren't connected at the time. Stupid mistake. Anyways, now when I reconnect those hard drives, they dont have a drive letter...they show up in the disk management thing, but the only options I have are to create a new volume and that would delete all my data. What do i do???

I realize that this problem is completely my own and completely stupid. Any help would be much apprecatied. Thanks

have you tried 'rescan disks' - it's under 'action' on the menu bar in disc managment console

Thanks, I imported the disk. In Disk Managment, the drive shows "153.38 Unallocated" and it doesn't have a drive letter. If i select New Volume, will it delete all the stuff on the disk?
