Home built nforce 4, Opteron 175, 3.25 GB ram
I have Vista Ultimate on one HD (It Ultimately SUCKS) (I ultimately have driver problems with my scanner and I have to settle for Ultimately generic drivers for everything else) and XP on one Hd because I have no choice at this point! I used to have several flavors of Linux but now I can't reload the hard drive's. No hard drives are present.
I tried to secure erase, patition commander, even the utility discs that came with the hd's but nothing works
I can load windows once I F-6 and specify drivers to load from floppy. At least it's not like the guy in one thread around here with sparks and smoke coming from his pc. I know it's not funny but I was rolling on the floor when I read that one!
So anyway, what can I do short of buying a new hard drive as they are always recognized when I install a new one. I wonder what's changing during my use.
