HARD DRIVE / MOBO compatibilty

Does a micro ATX form-factor motherboard need a PSU thats made for it? Or do you just have to match up the pins. i.e. a 20 pin board w/ a 20 pin PSU

More to the point, can i use a MicroATX board, and say an old 430w antec PSU out of a standard ATX tower?

I think so. As long as everything fits. Check your mobo manual.... those can be helpful

I have not bought anything yet, im still in the "research" stage, although I will be checking manuals first

Yes, you can use that PSU with a mATX board.
