I am running win xp. When I highligh C: drive and click on properties I get that it has 33 gigs of info. However, when I go into c: and then highlight all the subfolders and click on properties I get that is has 13 gigs of info, which should be correct. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
 
Go into My Computer or any other folder and click on "Tools" on the toolbar, on the slide down menu click on "Folder Options".
At the top of the Folder options taskbar click on "View".

Under Advanced Settings, put a checkmark beside "Show hidden Files and Folders", and remove the checkmark beside "Hide Protected Operating System Files".

Once you've done that just click on "Okay", and you'll be able to view all files stored on your HDD and it should match up precisely with the figures reported in the Properties tab for your C:\
