Hard drive making noise

I have 2 Westren Digital 200gb HDD's on my primary IDE. Last week I noticed the newest one that I got just after Christmas started making what sounds like a slight scraping sound. I discoved this when I went to scan the drive for viruses. I also noticed it just now when I went to start up a game, thats been the only 2 times? I also just tried running my virus scanner again and its still making the noise. Is this something I should be worried about and should I start backing up my important files or is this normal? I'm guess its not normal. My 2nd drive has made one noise since I got it, and i've had that 3 or 4 months longer than the newest one.

yea i would run that WD utility and enable SMART in ur bios and check to see what that says to.

Man it always sucks to find out an expensive HD is starting to fail in its youth. 🙁
