Kinda like its turning off for a sec, but the computer still works fine....

any ideas?

Sounds like... "click.... (pause) baaaa"

Based on similar posts I've read on these boards, clicking is almost a guarantee that the drive is on the outs. I'd backup any important data immediately and then use it until it dies. Then RMA it if applicable 🙂

Its close to 4 years old.... She's done her job good, but this worries me... Especially when its doing it while im working on my takehome final exam for torts 🙁

Luckily i reformatted my computer two weeks ago, and created a backup right before so im not far behind if it goes...

I did however make 8 copies of my Final Exam and place them in random places, a cd, my USB key, website, everywhere 😀

buy a new HD, your's is going to die. i saw one over at tirger direct for around 90 bucks after rebate.

WD HD here

its a good price for a great drive, the only problem is waiting for the rebate. i hate rebates, but u can;t really beat the price.
