hard drive letter path issues, help

Hey all

I have a bit of a problem, reformated my fathers computer and something happened to me that had never happened before, it made the letter path for my hard drive H: instead of C: like it should have, i have no other explanation other then the fact that he has a card reader.

Anyhow it won't let me install anything like chipset or graphics drivers, keeps telling me the size of drive C: is to small. I've already tried renaming the partitioned hard drive H: to C: in the disk management section but it tells me a partitioned drive can't be renamed. Is there anything else i can do besides reformating to get this thing to read as C: drive?

thanks

who's using the letter "C"? the card reader?
is the HD set as Master on the first IDE?
did you format the HD as primary and set it as active?

Unplug all the usb readers or Zip/LS120 if you got any. Then do the installation. Otherwise stick with the default letters if it's already too far down the road.
