I am pretty new to this overclocking thing, and I just am wondering if running my Soyo SY-7IWM/L at 75 MHz fsb could have contributed to the early demise of my WD Caviar 13 gig hard drive? It seemed to run my Celeron 366 at 411 just fine and I didn't notice any stability problems or error messages until the drive wouldn't reboot and then wouldn't complete scandisk and then would not reformat. Are certain hard drives preferred for overclocking? I tried to search for threads on the subject but came up empty. The drive was just 8 months old and is being RMA'd. I just wonder if I should throttle my system back to preserve the drive. I do notice a gain of about 6 to 8 frames per second in UT at 411 compared to 366. I am currently runnning a 15 gig Quantum lct10 in there at the 75 MHz fsb. Is this a bad idea? Thanks in advance for any input.
