Hard drive just disappears from windows

A i am playing a game (eve online) that is installed on my secondary hard drive, the client just shuts off without warning. When i try to restart it using the desktop shortcut, i get an error stating that the destination cannot be found. Quick look in windows explorer. The drive went missing.

No clicks, it's still turning from what i can tell.

Should i consider changing it ? I am making a backup as i write this...

EDIT: on XP and the drive is 2 years old
