hard drive is filled with worms and viruses, best way to reformat?

is reformatting sufficient? is there a software i can download that will easily wipe the drive? i dont think i can find any useful software from the manufacturer of my hard drive, quantum fireball 20 gb.

2) boot off said CD
3) Follow the on screen instructions
4) yu0 = teh winnAR

you should be able to get a utility that will low level format, or also called zero fill. it should be on the disk that came witht he drive

Go to maxtor.com and find utility for your drive.
