Hard drive imaging... need Win XP bootable!

Hello, AT!

Just wondering if any of you had some insight on my problem. I'll do my best to explain the situation:

My mother has a 200 gig HD that she uses 10 gigs of, and it has Win XP Pro (SP2 if that matters). Since she doesn't use the space on it, I bought a 20 gig to replace that one with... I'm attempting to clone the HD with Acronis TrueImage 9.0, and it doesn't seem to want to boot. The cloning goes successful, but when I attempt to boot off of the 20 gig, Windows gives me an ARC/HAL firmware error. If anyone knows how to fix this/get around it, please advise me. I'm itching for another 200 gigs in my PC!

Also, I have an issue with Win 2000 Pro. I've had the same mouse for about 4-5 years now (Microsoft Intellimouse Optical), and only in 2000 do I have this error. Occasionally the cursor will stop moving, and the mouse action will still be there (I'm able to move around and click things, but the cursor does not move with it). At the time, I had all of teh windows updates, and my mouse driver was up to date.

Any insight is appreciated, and thank you!!

I use Acronis True image 8 for cloning and imaging with no problem. Did you unplugged the 200GB hard drive and set the 20GB drive to master before booting back up? Ancronis should be able to adjust the partition size to fit the smaller 20gb drive.
