Ok, i have a 20gb mp3 player and the HD is gone hokey. I have located an image of the drive that might help and i want to apply it to the drive. I have an adapter to be able to hook it into my system, but first i need to know how the F* to use it... its pretty small and extracts quickly. I tried to post a link but it messes up and you need to log in to access it anyway, so i will just describe the file and hopefully someone knows how to use that type. it is named spirit_part_1_2.bin... now i know that is a cd file normally, but someone out there has to know how to use this for a hd image cuz thats what it is. there also seems to be a linux command line or something in a text file that came with it. it goes like this...
Disk /dev/sda: 20.0 GB, 20003880960 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 2432 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 2 16033+ 16 Hidden FAT16
/dev/sda2 3 10 63909+ 6 FAT16
/dev/sda3 11 2432 19454715 c W95 FAT32 (LBA)
Thank you ahead of time for any help on this.
