Hard drive humming and hiccuping

My hard drive (don't know which one, hopefully not my new one) has been stalling a lot lately, making humming noises. I thought it was due to heat for a while but temps are better than normal. Time to start backing up things? 😛

Humming? That means the platters are spinning. 🙂 Or they're just really satisfied with life. Or they've been sneaking out when you aren't home to try out for parts in local theatre.

But yeah, any new noises means start backing up and testing. Especially if your hard drive is about to join a travelling theatre troupe.

Man these long shifts make my mind go in odd directions.

Yeah there's definitely something wrong, and temps are fine.

chkdsk found nothing. I'm starting to think it's probably my video card, but again, temps are fine, so i don't know why it would be lagging so badly.
