hard drive help

I am thinking of getting a internal hd and an enclosure. My friend had over 10 games on his comp cracked......thinking of using this hd to copy them. How do i go about doing this....how do i format the drive so i can just plug and copy? gonna use usb 2.0.

Mind wanna edit out the part about copying over cracked games, as piracy is frowned upon here.

Having said that, both W2K and XP should recognize the external drive easily. Just be sure the drive is jumpered correctly -- most HD used in external enclosures need the jumper to be on Master or Single drive.

Once plugged in, the drive should be present in Computer Management, and you can create a partition(s) there.

You are breaking two rules

1. Two threads about the same thing cross posting/ double posting the first one in gen hardware

2. cracked games is a no no and I tried to give you a hint in the first thread you started

You should edit your threads and make sure you're not handed a vacation.
