I have a couple of hard drives that came out of DVR's that I was going to use in my computer but they either don't get recognized or windows can't be installed on the drive.
I am not a advanced computer guy, I can follow basic instructions and put a computer together but most technical talk goes over my head quickly.

During POST I get hard drive error or no drives found

Any help would be appreciated, are there jumpers or utilities to try and make these work?

This one worked for a week but now it doesn't get recognized
WD 320G dont know model it is still installed

MB

Thanks in advance

Is there a utility to copy my hard drive I am using now (older 160GB) to a new drive as a complete copy so I could use the new drive without re installing windows etc.. just pull out the old and put in the new and have it working just like the older drive for settings etc...
