OK so I was having problems with my computer locking up due to insufficient power from my PSU. On the day I was supposed to receive my new PSU(today) from FedEx I tried to start my computer only to find it locking up at windows start, so I turn it off and later that night I installed my new PSU and got ready to format my hard drive. Before formatting I wanted to see if I could get into windows and check if I still got lockups but as the PC was booting it said "media test failure" or something like that so I went into the BIOS to find out that my hard drive wasnt being detected. Thinking the hard drive wasnt connected right I checked all cables and switched molex connectors to make sure it was getting power but it still doesnt detect the hard drive. Ive reset the CMOS and tried everything else I could think of to try and get it to work but I am having no luck whatsoever. I had this problem a while back with a different PC and ended up having to buy a new hard drive but seeing how I just spent a lot of money on my PC this month I dont wanna have to buy a Raptor since that is the only drive I would want to buy. I am really pissed about this because I just got a new game and want to play it so bad but I cant because I dont have any extra hard drives except the one that messed up the first time. Is there any way to maybe "reset" or fix the hard drive so I dont have to buy a new one? Please help me I just got all this new hardware and stuff but cant even use it. Thank you!
