hard drive fragility in question.......

I wouldn't trust it not to fail in the near future.

The shelf, is about 7 feet tall in the garage attached to the house, and the drive landed on very thing rubber mats..

Smile! That was good fortune. Part of the reason is that it was less than a TB drive. The bigger the drive, the more fragile in my experience.

Update....The drive died , just enough time to get the data off of it. It shows up sometimes then it doesn't
