does anyone know of any software that willl test a hard drive?

besides the software that ibm recommeds

i've treid to use dft and the other software on the IBM site but it seems to not beable to find my scsi drives..

i jsut got a RMAed ibm scsi HD and its makine a wierd high pitched noise every two minutes or so.
 
Have you called IBM support? I'm sure they must have some way of testing their scsi drives. If its a problem with your setup or the software they should be able to sort it out for you.
