Hard drive failure? Recover your Data!

what if the drive fails - its recognized by bios - but drive failure prevents windows to load, you stick the drive onto another PC and it asks you to format cause its raw ?

I've "successfully" frozen one drive. The data wasn't considered ultra-valuable and the drve was running ultra hot. The drive was intermittently recognizable by the PC, but it would lose it as the drive warmed. I was able to stream off most of the data on the drive before it quit.

It's not a universal cure. It can help in some situations. It's also a bit risky because of the chances of condensation inside the drive. I live in a very dry place.
