Hard drive failur is imminent error. My drive is going to die soon probably.

I'm asking for a friend who called me earlier today saying he got a message saying "Hard disk failure is imminent, pleas back up all data." After some google searching I see this is a result of a drive that is about to die.

My question is this. How do I tell which drive is going bad when he has two HD's?

They get the error in bootup? Unplug one drive, boot it up, see if you get the message. If not unplug it, plug in the other drive, and boot it up again.

You might need to get the cd of tools from the hard drive manufacturer - Seatools, Data Lifeguard, etc.
