Hard drive enclosure for a Mac

Does anyone have a recommendation for an external firewire enclosure for a 3.5" disk? I'll be using this to backup my iBook, so if you can comment on Mac-compatibility with 10.3, that would be great. I have been looking at the coolmax enclosures that have the Oxford chipset, but they seem to be affected by the (still unresolved?) Panther firewire bug. Just to make things more difficult, I'm trying to spend under $50. 🙂
