I started useing an orico 5 bay usb 3.0 enclosure one of my drives in that a 4tb I have been using for a couple of years so alot of data is sudenly showing up as half gpd half unallocated my hope is that all data is not lost as this had alot of my data as one of my primary data stores. why would it do this? is all my data lost and why the other 4 drives are fine

Take the drive in question out of the orico, and stick it in a desktop machine.
Run crystaldiskinfo on it, and see if all the SMART attributes are OK.
If BIOS can't see the drive anymore, then, that is usually a sign that the HD died.
If BIOS sees it, but windows don't, then you want to clone the HD to another HD and try to recover the data with something like testdisk on the cloned drive.

All HDs (and SSDs) can, and will fail without any warning.
