I have two hard drives. I have a 74g Raptor which is my main drive and has all my programs loaded on it, and I have a 160gb Seagate barracuda which I use for storage as my D drive. Yesterday, my D drive all of the sudden stopped responding when I turned the computer on, then when I restarted it, it completely had disappeared off my mycomputer. So now, Mycomputer only see's my C drive (the raptor) and nothing else. I checked my CMOS and the Seagate is still on there, but Vista doesn't see it anymore. When I tried to plug it into another sata port on my mobo, nothing else changed. I'm not quite sure what went wrong, but Im really worried that its crashed. It hasn't made any noises or anything. Any ideas?

Similar thing happened to me. I was running three HD's with one as a sata. The sata drive was giving me problems as well. I ran defrag on my drives that I could see (not sure if that helped) and restarted in safe mode. I double checked my drivers as well. After a few restarts everything was appearing fine again. Not really to sure what I did to get it working, but hopefully that gives you somewhere to start atleast.

UPDATE: The drive is now displayed in my mycomputer, however it is still undreadable and corrupted, so says Vista. I don't know how to use the program link that was given to me, so any suggestions?

Well, just make sure you don't format it or delete the partition. If it is failing, you could try cooling it in the freezer, and then trying to take as much data off of it as possible. That has worked for me in the past with failing hard drives.
