Hard Drive Diagnostic/Testing Software

Just got a used 20GB Toshiba lappy HDD - Making some strange noises. I ran the Hitachi/IBM Drive Fitness Test (v4.02) on it (Works w/other MFG hdd's), and it repors an error 0x70, Corrupted Sector.

I ran Maxtor's PowMax - and it acted strange as well.

What other HDD diag programs can I run? I want to be 100% sure the drive is bad before I talk to the sellr.

Thanks!

My vote would be SpinRite from Steve Gibson as well, but like Zepper said it is pricey ($69). It's supposed to be one of the best (if not the best) when it comes to finding and fixing HD damage. I ran it on my 120GB drive and it took 42 hours to complete all of the tests it does...very, very thorough diagnostic tool.
