Hard drive corrupt, partition gone.... HELP!

I have a 300GB hard drive that somehow was corrupted and its partition was lost (I have no idea if the data is alright or not). I've heard of GetDataBack and Handy Recovery, but I was wondering if there was a good program meant specifically for corrupt hard drives.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

UPDATE:
I just tried GetDataBack and Handy Recovery. Handy Recovery could only find a bunch of 80GB partitions, and GetDataBack is only seeing the drive as 134GB.
