I have an enlight 7237 mid tower case. I have two Sunon 80mm High Output fans in front sucking (42.5 cfm) in. I also have one Sunon 92mm in the top and one below the power supply blowing air out (44 cfm each). I am running an ALPHA PAL6035 with a Delta Black Label fan. I am going to add a Maxtor 7200 rpm HDD, should I get a HDD cooler if so which one and will it interfere with my curent fan setup???

Thanks

Doesn't do crap cuz I have crap loads of HD coolers running on high end scsi and they still fail but it does keep those drive a LOT cooler.. in theory, it makes your drive last longer.. in practice.. doesn't really do crap since HD have a mind of their own..

they're relatively cheap, so it never hurts to get one if you have a 5.25" bay to fit it in... it definitely cools the HD area much better, bt as for drive failure, thats all random and specific to each individual drive...

If the drive cooler is blowing in, it will help help out bringing more cool air into the system.

depending on how many cfm it brings in wont that throw my flow out of balance. I have 85cfm coming in via the Sunon 80mm HOs and 88cfm going out via the Sunon 92s. Or with the HDD cooler bring in such an insignifcant ammount of air it wont hurt the mix?

How about Vanatec's "Ultimate Hard Drive Cooler" from 2CoolTek Two fans drawing in and a heatsink. It sucks 13cfm, fits in 5 1/2 and is about $23 plus S/H????

That would be fine, if you mount it at the bottom of you 5 1/2 drives have it pulling air into the case if mounted at the top of the 5 1/2 bays have it drawing air out of the case. (if this is a mid-tower case)

Another great not so extreme HD cooler but brings nice volume of air in or out of the case and over the HD's is this one(bit expensive this is what i use):

yes that bay cooler is cool (no pun intended) but it wont fit due to my fan configuration and the way my mobo sits in the case.
