Hard drive constantly seeking

I think it has to do with a spyware. I recently got a spyware.. it left this folder called cowabunga in my program files, and left a winspool.exe, and dexplore.exe in my documents and settings/application data folder.
I removed them all, along with all the new files it created in my windows folder and system32 folder. In addition, I removed permission to write new files after I deleted them.
It seems to be gone, I don't get any of the popups that the spyware gave me. But I'm getting this constant disk seeking, and it's making my computer really slow.
Any ideas?

run ad-aware, run spybot, ran anti virus, run microsoft's anti spyware if it has winxp, after you remove the remaining stuff those programs find, you can run hijackthis and get rid of whatever else, also do ctrl alt del to get into task manager and see what process is sucking up a lot of memory or a lot of the cpu which is making the pc so slow.
