I need some ideas & inputs for the following:
Currently dual-booting Win98/ W2K on a 40 GB HDD.
Bought a new 200 GB HDD. (Plan on using NTFS)
Have an older 10 GB salvaged from an older PC.
Would like to multi-boot with Windows and Mandrake 9.1
First I thought of putting the 3 OSes each on their own separate HDDs. But now i'm debating what I want to do. Maybe I should just lose the 40 GB, make the 200 GB as primary and put both Windows OS on that; then put the Mandrake on the 10 GB. Then I could have the 40 GB as a spare or use it for images and backups. What do y'all think about this? Are there other configurations that might work better?
As for images and back ups, would it be better to save it on the same HDD as the OS is loaded on or should I back it up to a separate HDD?
I'm not a computer newbie. Just new here. TIA.
